Harris Jeffrey is a freelance photographer based in Sabah, Malaysia. He was born in 1973. Grew up and attended school and completed his higher education in Georgetown, Pulau Pinang.
As a photographer, he is mainly self-educated. He has been a full-time freelance photographer since 2011 for various private sectors and newspapers while pursuing his own projects. For contract work, he works with both analog and digital cameras. For his own projects, he uses analog photography as an instrument to explore the boundaries between documentary photography and art.
It is his approach to be as close as possible to the subject in order to reflect reality. Being a collector of memories, his work shows and tells stories from home and abroad. He is travelling extensively. He favors to travel by foot or train in order to fully experience the respective destination.
